JAN VALTA - 2nd violin

JAN VALTA (1977) is a graduate of the Conservatory in Teplice (professor Jiřina Dlouhá) and of the musical faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (professor Jindřich Pazdera). During his studies he was a prizewinner at a nation-wide competition of chamber music; he is also a prizewinner of the Czech Conservatories Competition. At the age of nineteen he became a member of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra for two seasons. As a soloist he has performed in Austria, Germany, France, Spain and Japan. He teaches violin at the Conservatory in Teplice. From 2006, he is the artistic leader of the Herold Chamber Orchestra. He is also a composer and orchestrator.
