KAREL UNTERMÜLLER - viola

KAREL UNTERMÜLLER (1972) graduated from the Conservatory in Prague (professor Jaroslav Ruis) and the musical faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (professor Lubomír Malý). He took a part in chamber music courses held by internationally known musicians - including Norbert Brainin, Sigmund Nissel, Thomas Kakuska. As a soloist he has performed with several Czech orchestras including tne Suk Chamber Orchestra, Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice and the West-Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. He plays often with the great Czech violinist Josef Suk, including recording three CDs (together with other well known Czech instrumentalists) of chamber music by Dvořák and Suk. Since 2008, he teaches viola at the Conservatory in Teplice.
